Definition of 「広」:
1. Anciently the same as "廣" (guǎng).
2. (Area, range) Broad (in contrast to "narrow"). In "The Book of Songs · Wei Feng · He Guǎng": "Who says the river is wide, a single reed can span it."
3. Large. Exceeds the ordinary in terms of volume, area, etc. In "The Book of Songs · Xiao Ya · June": "Four steeds are tall and large, their size is remarkable."
4. Referring to aspirations or ambitions that are lofty. In "The Zuo Tradition · Year 23 of Duke Xi": "The son of Jin is broad and frugal."
5. Many. Han Yu wrote in "On the Affairs of Huaixi": "If the troops are many but the battle is not swift, then the expenses will surely be extensive."
