羮:
1. Anciently the same as "羹" (gēng), meaning a thick soup or broth.
2. Referring to the region of Chu during the Spring and Autumn period.
- Reference: "In the Zuo Zhuan, Year 11 of Duke Zhao: 'The ruler of Chu built walls at Chen and Cai, but did not have gēng.'"
- Explanation by Lu Deming: "Gēng, was pronounced similarly to 'láng' in ancient times."
