1. Also written as "艪". A type of rowing tool larger than an oar.
- Song Dynasty poet Xin Qiji wrote: "Leaning on the sound of the boat, greedily listening to the murmurs, I drunkenly sleep."
2. Refers to a boat.
- From "Wake-Up Call with Constant Lessons — A Letter from the Fox of Small Water Bay": "In the Sui Dynasty of Yangzhou, it was called Jiangdu, a crucial location between the Yangtze and Huai Rivers, where boats and masts come and go like hemp."
- From Qing Dynasty poet Gu Yanwu: "Soft boats flow down the stream, light carts cross the dangerous bridge."
