虬 虯 qiú 名 1. 古代传说中的有角的龙 ([En.] a small dragon with horns) 2. 拳曲 ([En.] curling; referring to a twisting or curled form) 引 1. 虯,龙子有角者。从虫,按,俗字作“虬”。 ([En.] The term 虯 refers to a small dragon with horns; it is written with the insect radical, and is colloquially written as “虬”.) 2. 《广雅·释鱼》: 有鳞曰蛟龙,有翼曰应龙,有角曰虯龙,无角曰螭龙。按,龙“雄有角,雌无角,龙子一角者蛟,两角者虯,无角者螭也。” ([En.] "In 'Guangya - Explanation of Fish': Those with scales are called jiao dragons, those with wings are called ying dragons, those with horns are called qiu dragons, and those without horns are called chi dragons. It is noted that male dragons have horns, while females do not.
