Same as the original meaning ([En.] admonish) Example: "敕晓" (to admonish and inform); "敕谕天下" (the court's proclamation to the nation); "敕戒" (warning, instruction). 2.通“饬”。整治;整饬 ([En.] put in order) Example: "敕法" (regulations for rectification); "敕设" (to arrange thoroughly). 3. 委任,任命 ([En.] appoint). Example: "敕目" (list of appointed officials). 4. 皇帝下命令 ([En.] order imperially).
