【Original Meaning】: Refers to the person being spoken to.

Example: 三个人你看看我,我看看你,谁也没说话 (Three people looked at each other, and no one said anything).
3. **A general reference to anyone; regardless of any person** ([En.] anyone, anybody)
Example: 他的才学叫你不得不佩服 (His talent makes you admire him).
4. **Everyone; each person** ([En.] everybody, everyone)
Example: 你一言,我一语,谈得很热闹 (You say a word, I say a word, and the conversation is very lively).
【Character Formation】: Phono-semantic compound; composed of the character 人 (human) and the sound element 尔.
