Jealousy, 㑵 may also derive from 'female'.” Duan Yucai's annotation: “妎 means jealousy.” 1. 同“嫉”。 2. 在《说文•人部》：“㑵，即妎。由‘人’部件和‘疾’发音组成。另一种解读为‘毒’。嫉妒，㑵或源于‘女’。”段玉裁注：“妎者，妬也。”
