- 关卡 (checkpoint)
- 卡房 (inspection station set up at critical traffic routes or narrow passes)
- 卡口 (entry or exit with defensive and inspection facilities)
- 卡伦 (a historical border checkpoint established in Northeast and Northwest during the Qing dynasty)
- 卡座 (post set up at important border areas during the Qing dynasty)
3. Verb: To clamp or be clamped, unable to move. Examples include:
