朙:
1. Same as "明", meaning "bright." Example: "缵神~之洪族。" (In context, it may refer to a lineage or a group associated with brightness or enlightenment.)
2. (Pictophonetic compound. In oracle bone script, "日" (sun) and "月" (moon) represent brightness. In small seal script, it derives from "月" (moon) and "囧" (jiǒng), capturing the light of the moon; "囧" signifies the brightness of windows. Original meaning: bright and clear.)
Same original meaning. Opposed to "昏暗" (dim or dark), 朙 means to illuminate. - From "Shuowen Jiezi" (a foundational Chinese dictionary).
