溱 [zhēn] 1. An ancient river name, referring to the Zhen River in present-day Henan Province, China. 2. a. In abundance, flourishing, as in "百谷~~,庶卉蕃芜" (hundreds of grains are abundant, and all plants flourish); b. The appearance of sweating, as in "汗出~~" (sweat is profusely coming out); c. The appearance of stretching out, as in "物出~~" (things are spreading out). 3. An ancient word meaning "to arrive" or "to reach". 溱 [zhēn] 1. An ancient river name (English: Zhen River). 2. Originates from the southern part of Linwu County in Hunan Province, flowing north to join Wuxi River, collectively known as Wushui, and downstream merging with Lianjiang River to form Beijiang, which merges with Guishui (Xijiang) to form Zhujiang, flowing into the sea. 3. Originates from the northeast of Mixian County in Henan Province, flowing southeast to meet Weishui River as Shuangjihe, flowing east into Jialu River. 4. Also see qín. 溱 [zhēn] 1.
