繭 1. A shell made of silk that silkworms or certain insects produce before transforming into a pupa. 蠶或某些昆蟲在變成蛹之前吐絲做成的殼。 2. Silk thread. Reference: Ming dynasty writer Zhang Huang. 絲線。明張煌言。 3. Clothing made of fuzzy silk cotton, later called “襺”. 絮絲綿的衣服。後作“襺”。 4. Can also refer to “趼”, which means a callosity formed on the palms or soles due to friction. 通“趼”。腳掌或手掌因摩擦而成的硬皮。 繭 名詞 1. An outer skin made of silk that many insect larvae wrap around most of their body before metamorphosis, within which they pupate. The cocoon of the domesticated silkworm is the source of commercial silk. ([En.] cocoon) 許多昆蟲幼蟲在化蛹前包圍身體大部分的由絲組成的外皮,在其中化蛹。家蠶的繭是商業蠶絲的來源。 2. Refers to silk. ([En.] silk) 指繭絲。 3.
