鯥
1. A type of fish, elongated and laterally compressed, brown or purplish-black in color. It has a pointed snout, a large mouth, and big eyes. It lives in the deep sea and spawns in shallow waters.
2. A mythical fish described in ancient legends: "In the mountains of Dishan, there are many waters and no grass or trees. There is a fish there, shaped like an ox, has a serpent's tail, and wings; its feathers are found under the ray, and its sound is like the lowing of an ox, and it is called 鯥."
