鲪 (jūn)
1. A genus of fish characterized by a long body, a large oblique mouth, and living in the sea, with ovoviviparous reproduction.
2. A type of fish belonging to the genus Sebastodes (English: gopher rock cod). It has large eyes and coarse scales, resembles carp, has a slender and laterally flattened body with irregular black spots, and a rounded tail fin. This fish is ovoviviparous and inhabits nearshore rocky reefs.
