鼍 (tuó) 1. A type of reptile with a short snout and a body length of over two meters, with scales on the back and tail. It lives in burrows along riverbanks, and its skin can be used to make drums. Also known as "Yangtze alligator," "toad dragon," and colloquially as "pig grandma dragon." 爬行动物,吻短,体长二米多,背部、尾部均有鳞甲。穴居江河岸边,皮可以蒙鼓。亦称“扬子鳄”、“鼍龙”、“猪婆龙”。 2. Yangtze alligator (English: Yangtze alligator), a species of reptile (Alligator sinensis) belonging to the family Alligatoridae, which is produced in the lower Yangtze River, and is a specialty of China.
