桔 [jié] 1. 桔梗 (balloonflower): A perennial herbaceous plant with oval or ovate-lanceolate leaves, purple or dark blue flowers, usually grown for decorative purposes. The root can be used in medicine. 2. 桔槔 (boom): An ancient water-lifting tool used on wells, consisting of a lever resting on the water's edge, with a bucket on one end and a heavy stone on the other for balancing. 3. 直木 (right tree): Referring to a straight or upright tree. 4. 另见 jú: Also see jú. 桔 [jú] 1.
