In traditional Chinese medicine, the term refers to the collective organs of the stomach, gallbladder, sanjiao (triple burner), bladder, large intestine, and small intestine, also known as the “six fu” (六腑), in contrast to the “five zang” (五脏). [En.] internal organs of the body. It also generally refers to internal organ systems. 2. Metaphorically refers to the heart or one’s inner feelings. [En.] heart. 引 1. From "白虎通·性情": Refers to the six fu: large intestine, small intestine, stomach, bladder, sanjiao, and gallbladder, indicating that these are the palace and residence of the five zang organs. Commonly written as 腑. 例: For example, 腑脏 (refers to the general term for internal organs in traditional Chinese medicine). 2. Metaphorically refers to one’s inner feelings or heart. 例: For example, 肺腑 (generally refers to internal organs; also metaphorically indicates the heart). 形 腐烂的 ([En.] rot).
