卹 (xù) 1. Same as "恤" (xù), meaning to care for or sympathize. 2. Verb: To feel worried or concerned. Example: "失得勿恤,往吉无不利。" from "I Ching, Hexagram Jin, Line 5": "Do not worry about losing or gaining, proceeding will bring good and no disadvantages." Another example: "勤恤民隐而除其害。" from "Guo Yu, Zhou Yu Shang": "Diligently care for the people’s hidden troubles and eliminate their harms." 3. Verb: To show compassion. Example phrases: "体恤" (tǐ xù) meaning to empathize, "怜恤" (lián xù) meaning to show pity.
