焫 Stroke Order

焫 1. An ancient term synonymous with "爇," meaning to ignite or burn. Example: "若举炎火以焫飞蓬" (If one raises a fire, it will burn the flying weeds). 2. In traditional Chinese medicine, it refers to the practice of burning needles to stimulate acupoints on the body's surface. 3. It refers to the method of treating illness by burning herbal medicine and using incantatory smoke. In "Suwen: On Different Methods and Treatments," it states: "In high and cold lands, where the winds are chilly and icy, the people enjoy wild foods and dairy; when internal cold induces illness, the treatment should be moxibustion and焫. Thus,焫 methods also originate from the North." In traditional Chinese medicine, it also refers to using burning needles for acupoint stimulation: "When internal cold induces illness, the treatment should be moxibustion and焫."
