To stagnate (silt up). 4. 郁积;停滞 (pent-up)。 - Accumulation; stagnation (pent-up). 引: 1. 《说文》:瘀,积血也。从疒,於声。 - From "Shuowen": "瘀" refers to accumulated blood. It is composed of the radical for sickness (疒) and the phonetic component (於). 2. 《楚辞·九辩》:形销铄而瘀伤。 - From "Chuci, Jiuben": "The body deteriorates and suffers from stale injuries." 例: - 又如: 瘀血 (体内某部位血液瘀滞; 凝滞不流通的血) - For example: stagnant blood (blood that is stagnated in a certain part of the body; blood that does not circulate). - 又如: 瘀肉 (有病变的肌肉) - For example: damaged muscle (muscle with pathological changes). 5. 郁积;停滞 (pent-up)。 - Accumulation; stagnation (pent-up). 引: 1. 汉· 张仲景《伤寒论》:伤寒瘀热在里,身必发黄。 - From "Shanghanlun" by Zhang Zhongjing: "When cold-induced stagnation resides within, the body will surely turn yellow." 例: - 又如: 瘀疾 (停滞和急趋); - For example: stagnant disease (stagnation and urgent tendencies); - 又如: 瘀伤 (气血郁积成病)。 - For example: bruises (diseases caused by the accumulation of qi and blood).
