From Shuowen Jiezi: 笿, referring to a cup bamboo container. Xu Kai states: "Similar to what people today refer to as 'lú' (basket)." 2. From Fangyan: The cup bamboo container is called "bō luò" between Chen, Chu, Song, and Wei, and is referred to as "dòu sǎo" from east to west of the Guan. This explains: "A container for holding cup vessels." 3. From Yunji Qiqian: In Qingcheng, Shu, each year they repair the bamboo dam known as 笿 to prevent water floods.
