亦 [yì]
1. Adverb: also; indicates sameness, or that something is also true.
- Example: ~无不可 (also nothing wrong). ~步~趋 (also follows).
2. Moreover; used in phrases like: “先君何罪?其嗣~何罪?” (What crime did the former ruler have? What crime does his successor have?).
3. But; only: “王~不好土也,何患无士?” (The king is not unsatisfactory, how can he lack scholars?).
4. Indicates an emphasis or a polite tone: “呜呼,~盛矣哉!” (Alas, indeed it is splendid!). “学而时习之,不~说乎?” (To learn and review often; isn’t it said?).

6. [Noun] (referring to a matter): In ancient bone script, the character represented in addition to "大" (big) with two dots for indicating the armpits. The original meaning is armpit.
