1. A type of annual herbaceous plant that floats on the surface of water. The leaves are flat, green on the surface, and purple-red on the underside. It has fibrous roots beneath the leaves and blooms white flowers, referred to as “floating duckweed.” It is also called “green duckweed” or “purple duckweed,” often used as a metaphor for an unstable life or wandering.
