It can be used in the manufacturing of chemical equipment, vacuum tubes, and various electrical materials such as ultra-shortwave transmitters. Medically, it is used to make thin sheets or fine wires to repair damaged tissues. Tantalum carbide has a high melting point and is extremely hard, suitable for making cutting tools.
