【本义】: 举鼎的器具
1. Device for carrying a tripod. A wooden stick that crosses the two ears of the tripod for carrying it. It may be hook-shaped and made of metal, used to lift the two ears of the tripod.
【引】
1. "Shuowen": 铉, means a device for lifting a tripod. It is called 铉 in 易 and 鼎 in 礼.
2. "易·鼎": Yellow ears and golden 铉 are beneficial and correct. Kong Yingda's commentary: 铉 is used to carry and lift the tripod.

1. Jiang Yan's "For Xiao Biaoqi’s Second Table": Among the ministers of the Lin Pavilion, there are still positions not as significant as 铉.
