雖:
1. Conjunction. It expands the meaning to indicate "even if" or "although," often followed by "but" or "however."
Example: 雖然… (although...); 雖則… (even though...); 麻雀雖小,五臟俱全。(Although the sparrow is small, it has all its organs.)

Example: 《列子.汤问》:「虽我之死,有子存焉。」(Liezi, Tang Wen: "Even in my death, I have a son who lives on.")
