撕 [sī] 动 1. 用手把东西扯裂。 (To use the hands to tear something.) 例:把纸撕成条儿; 把墙上的标语撕下来; 把一张报纸撕成两半; 上衣在钉子上撕了一个口子; 撕打(撕搏。扭扯殴打); 撕罗(亦作:“撕逻”。排解); 撕捋(分解,排解); 撕剥(撕烂,扯碎)。 2. 零购布帛。 (To buy cloth.) 例:如:撕八尺布。 - 【本义】: 扯裂 (Original meaning: to tear apart.) - 【造字法】: 形声。从手,斯声。“斯”也有表意作用,“劈开”。 (Character formation: Phono-semantic. It consists of the hand and the sound of "si." "Si" also has a semantic function meaning "to split open.") - 引用于《红楼梦》:晴雯果然接过来,“嗤”的一声,撕了两半。 (Referenced in "Dream of the Red Chamber": Qingwen indeed took it, and with a "zip," tore it in half.)
