琢 [zhuó]
1. Carve and polish jade stones to create utensils; often used metaphorically to indicate deliberate consideration and careful crafting.
Example: 琢磨 - to think deeply; 绘琢 (a. to carve jade, etc.; b. to excessively embellish text, making it feel unnatural, e.g., "the trend of excessive embellishment should not prevail").

Example: 琢句 (to refine a sentence); 琢刻 (to modify text).
