觜 [zī] 1. Constellation, one of the twenty-eight lodges. 2. Hair-like horns on the heads of owls. 觜 [zī] 1. Refers to 觜宿 (the 21st Chinese zodiacal constellation). It is one of the twenty-eight lodges, consisting of three stars: 觜宿一 (Orion λ), 觜宿二 (Orion φ1), and 觜宿三 (Orion φ2). Example: 觜觽 (name of a constellation, an early name for 觜宿); 觜陬 (one of the twelve zodiac sequences). 2. See also zuǐ. 觜 [zuǐ] 1. Horn-like hair on the owl's head. Note by Duan Yucai: "Horn-like hair, as said in 瓮下, 'hair-like angle' is also." Hair-like angle refers to hair that resembles horns on the head. 2. Bird's beak. 3. Later used to refer to a person's mouth, also written as "嘴." 4. An object that is shaped or acts like a mouth. 5. Tone or note. 觜 [zuǐ] (verb) 1. Peck. 2. To show (teeth); bare (teeth). 3.
