Definition of 「鉛」:
1. A metallic element with the symbol Pb. It is a bluish-gray color, soft and heavy, ductile, and easily oxidized. Its main uses are in the production of alloys, batteries, cable sheaths, and shielding equipment for gamma radiation. In ancient times, lead was often referred to as "青金" (qingjin) or "錫" (tin).
2. Refers to lead powder.
3. Lead powder pencil. In ancient times, it was used to correct texts or for painting.
4. A pencil lead made of graphite (black lead) or clay mixed with pigments. See "鉛筆" (pencil).
