Cryptobranchus japonicus / salamander
(Same as original meaning: It resembles lizards, but has no scales. Its body is covered with soft and moist skin, living in humid and dark places, feeding on small animals.) 2. (Little fish). (Second meaning: Refers to small fish.) (According to Shuowen: The 'ni' is a spiny fish.) 2. (Note: Resembles catfish, has four legs, the front resembles a monkey and the back resembles a dog. Its sound is like that of a child crying. The larger ones can be seven to eight feet long.) (Erya, Explanation of Fish: The larger 'ni' is called 'xia'.) 例子: 又如: 鲵鲐(鲵齿和鲐背); 鲵鱼(娃娃鱼) (For example: 'ni' teeth and 'tai' back; 'ni' fish (baby fish).)
