Stupid; ignorant of reason. Example: 聋聩 (deaf or congenital deafness; metaphorically, ignorant and unaware). 聋昧 (deaf and blind). 聋瞢 (deaf and blind). 引: 1. From the Shuowen Jiezi: 聋, 无闻也 (deafness means no hearing). 2. From Zhuangzi, Xīyáoyóu: 聋者无以与乎钟鼓之声 (the deaf cannot participate in the sounds of bells and drums). 3.
