祝 (zhù) 1. Represents good wishes for people or events. Example: 祝福 (wishing blessings), 祝寿 (wishing longevity), 祝捷 (wishing success), 祝辞 (congratulatory words), 馨香祷祝 (fragrant prayers). 2. In ancient times, it referred to male shamans. 3. The person responsible for incense offerings in temples: 祝融 (the deity of fire), 庙祝 (temple priest). 4. To cut off: 祝发 (to shave hair, afterward refers to monks and nuns shaving their heads). 5. A surname. 6.
